IIOS specializes in designing and implementing solutions for your information management in-cloud and on-premises enterprise platforms employing Service Oriented Architecture principals. We believe in leveraging your existing systems or public platforms to deliver cost effective information where you need it and when you need it.
We're a small Microsoft Partner and Microsoft Cloud Partner with Microsoft Certified IT Professionals, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialists and Microsoft Certified Specialists who augment your capabilities to deliver services and solutions on our preferred Microsoft or Amazon platforms.
The Cloud is Storage, Compute and Data IO on remotely located ICT infrastructure with access over the internet from anywhere in the world. It can help you realize large cost savings, and have more accessible and secure information assets.
Making an analogy with a well known concept, the Power grid; the Cloud in the 21st century is equivalent to 20th century Power Grid. You subscribe to receive computing power. Early 20th century Westinghouse sold many on premises DC power generators, but ultimately Tesla's AC distribution won through for a number of reasons; most importantly cost of distribution. On premises power generation, just like computing still has very valid uses.
IIOS was born from our passions: Information, Integration, IO as in Input/Output, Solutions and Services.
Wikipedia: In computing, input/output, or I/O, refers to the communication between an information processing system (such as a computer), and the outside world, possibly a human, or another information processing system.
.co is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) assigned to Colombia. IIOS believes in minimising input characters required to access information and a 2 character ccTLD represented the shortest input required after the .com ccTLD (because browsers accept the shortcut Ctrl+Enter). We originally attempted to acquire an .io ccTLD, but the registrar was more problematic to deal with.
The ccTLD is open to all, and large companies use it for url abbreviation; Some examples of .co use include Twitter (t.co), Google (g.co), Amazon.com (a.co).
